Job Description:

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates a patient's mobility and motor assets and liabilities for functional performance. The Physical Therapist provides goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks. As a member of the health care team, the physical therapist works closely with other rehabilitation disciplines, nursing, physicians, and case managers to provide patient-centered care. Patient/family and community education are essential components of this position. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Evaluate patients' mobility and motor function to assess functional performance 

  • Develop and implement goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment plans 

  • Promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks 

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care 

  • Provide patient, family, and community education on physical therapy and rehabilitation 

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records 

  • Stay current with best practices and emerging techniques in physical therapy 

Qualifications Required 

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program 

  • Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license 

  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team 

Preferred 

  • Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings 

  • Additional certifications in specialized physical therapy techniques 

 

Education and Experience 

  • Graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program 

  • Relevant clinical experience preferred 

 

Licenses and Certifications 

  • Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license 

  • Current BCLS certification 

 

 

Pay Range:

$53.00 - $53.00

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
