Job Description:
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates a patient's mobility and motor assets and liabilities for functional performance. The Physical Therapist provides goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks. As a member of the health care team, the physical therapist works closely with other rehabilitation disciplines, nursing, physicians, and case managers to provide patient-centered care. Patient/family and community education are essential components of this position.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Evaluate patients' mobility and motor function to assess functional performanceÂ
Develop and implement goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment plansÂ
Promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasksÂ
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient careÂ
Provide patient, family, and community education on physical therapy and rehabilitationÂ
Maintain accurate and timely patient recordsÂ
Stay current with best practices and emerging techniques in physical therapyÂ
Qualifications RequiredÂ
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy ProgramÂ
Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy licenseÂ
Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificationÂ
Strong interpersonal and communication skillsÂ
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary teamÂ
PreferredÂ
Experience in outpatient physical therapy settingsÂ
Additional certifications in specialized physical therapy techniquesÂ

Education and ExperienceÂ
Graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy ProgramÂ
Relevant clinical experience preferredÂ

Pay Range:
$53.00 - $53.00The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
