Job Summary:

$10,000 Bonus to those who qualify

Responsible for ensuring program aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and industry best practices.

Job Duties:

  • Must have FAA A&P License
  • Responsible to have a thorough knowledge of and compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations ; Aeronautical Information Manual; Geisinger’s General Operations Manual guidelines, and General Maintenance Manual as applicable.
  • Performs daily inspections to assigned aircraft.
  • Performs reviews of aircraft and aircraft records.
  • Documents discrepancies and makes repairs per applicable manuals.
  • Performs repairs and maintenance activities to the assigned aircraft.
  • Updates and maintains maintenance manuals, service bulletins, parts books, and regulatory updates, and other technical directives as required and or directed.
  • Coordinates ordering, shipping, and receiving of parts, supplies, tooling and warranty claim parts with the program base of operations.
  • Coordinates aircraft maintenance scheduling.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations.
  • Corrects any hazardous or unsafe practices as reports them accordingly.


Works in a patient care environment in and around aircraft and is exposed to possible infectious diseases and chemical toxins. Position may require sitting for long periods of time in a helicopter or in an office environment. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Exposed to non-conventional motion, noise, vibration, jet fumes, and extreme temperatures. Working conditions in or near aircraft and/or an aircraft hangar environment on a daily basis and may be exposed to loud aircraft noise, fumes, gases, odors, dust particles, and mechanical and electrical hazards. Travel may be required. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
