Position Summary  The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing a variety of skilled maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks across all club locations and facilities. This role ensures that all buildings, equipment, and property remain in excellent working order, providing a safe, functional, and visually appealing environment for members, guests, and staff.                                                                                                                    Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Repair & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on club facilities, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and plumbing. Diagnose and troubleshooting issues with equipment and building systems. Carpentry & Small Projects: Build, assemble, or repair small projects, fixtures, and furniture as needed. Perform sanding, staining, and sealing of wood surfaces. Painting & Finishing: Prepare, prime, and paint interior and exterior surfaces. Maintain a high-quality finish on all painted and stained surfaces. Equipment & Tool Management: Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively. Monitor tool and supply inventory and report shortages to the Facilities Manager. Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with other departments (Golf, Tennis, F&B, Pool, Administration) to support their operational needs. Assist in setup and breakdown for events when necessary. Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures in the handling of equipment, tools, and materials. Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and hazard-free. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical certification preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general maintenance, construction, or facilities repair (hospitality or club experience preferred). Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment. Knowledge of basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical documents. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
