The Medical Director provides the clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements, direct clinical services for patients, and clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director. The Medical Director collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided and participates in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested. The Medical Director, under the supervision of the Regional Medical Director, provides the following: Clinical direction needed and direct patient care to meet the service delivery requirements of assigned site Supervision and evaluation of medical services for pre-trial or incarcerated populations. Clinical supervision for medical staff. Chair or participation in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement, Infection Control and Pharmacy and Therapeutics. Interfacing with agency clinical and administrative leadership on issues related to medical services.
