Advanced Medical Transport of Eastern Illinois (AMT East) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT East is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit. Our Paramedic team members are responsible for caring for patients in emergency response situations, during interfacility transports, and during standby events. Paramedics at AMT work 12 or 24 hour shifts in the Danville and the surrounding areas. Part-time staff is expected to work at least 24 hours each month to remain in good standing. Job Duties: Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care Provide advanced life support when needed Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment Document patient information, condition, and treatment Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment in accordance with company vehicle check-off sheets and inventory requirements.
