Site Manager – Railcar Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt

We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a railcar cleaning facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes safety, quality, people, and profitability seriously.
What You’ll Do
Lead and manage daily operations, employees, production schedules, and customer needs.
Make safety and environmental compliance the top priorities.
Coach, train, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
Ensure railcar cleaning meets company, customer, industry, and regulatory standards.
Manage labor, inventory, equipment, supplies, and operating costs.
Coordinate railcar switching and work schedules with local switch crews.
Ensure timecards, daily reports, QA/QC documentation, and other records are accurate and timely.
Handle hiring, performance reviews, coaching, corrective action, and employee development.
Build strong relationships with customers and serve as the primary local point of contact.
Identify operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
3+ years of successful leadership experience with direct reports.
3+ years of freight/tank car or railcar industry experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Customer-focused and highly detail-oriented.
Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer systems.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a company-required physical.
Able to work in confined spaces, at heights, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear required PPE.
Willingness to travel up to 50% per month as business needs require.
