Registered Nurse – Endo - PRN

Schedule:   6:30–7:00 AM start time with rotating call (weekends and a few weekdays)

Call Requirement: Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes

Our Endoscopy unit provides care for a wide range of procedures, including:

  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)

  • Colonoscopy

  • Sigmoidoscopy

  • Bronchoscopy

  • GI bleed procedures

     

The unit typically operates 1–2 procedure rooms several days per week out of the Operating Rooms, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure high-quality, focused patient care.

How you will contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we are looking for

The right person who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Applicants should have a current RN VA or compact state license and possess an associate’s degree in nursing. 

Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire Experience in acute care hospital, preferred
  • Previous experience preferred

 

Hourly range - $31.49 - $42.51
