Job Summary :
The work schedule is two (2) 12-hr shifts 7:30am-8pm, 48 hours biweekly as well as anymeetings or trainings that are required by the department. Eligible for full-time benefits.
Call shifts required. Previous Coordinator or Leadership experience desired.
This position coordinates daily operations during the shift and is designated by the
Director/Manager or designee to promote consistency of the department. The Lead
Technologist possesses strong clinical skills and leadership abilities, uses clear and
effective communication, exhibits interdepartmental collaboration and teamwork, can
multi-task, delegate, prioritize, and utilize critical thinking to meet departmental needs.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:Ā
A. Receive a general report on the department from Radiology Manager(s).Ā

- ļ· Possess an overall knowledge of staffing/scheduling and will assist inĀ
- promoting team efforts or reassignments.Ā
- ļ· Able to adjust workload assignments and assure appropriate staffing to meetĀ
- weekend needsĀ
B. Assign meal/break times.Ā
- ļ· Facilitate thirty minutes for meal/break time.Ā
- ļ· The Weekend Lead is accountable for provision of care and monitor staff timeĀ
- on or off the unit. They agree to maintain adequate staff levels and restrictĀ
- staff as needed.Ā
C. Operate PACS, Powerscribe and other systems, as neededĀ
- ļ· Troubleshoot issues or escalate to TriMedx or Radiology call teams, asĀ
- neededĀ
- ļ· Move images in PACS, as neededĀ
- ļ· Cloud/transfer patient images, as neededĀ
- ļ· Assist with coordinating systems repair between TriMedx or Radiology callĀ
- teamsĀ
D. Assist Radiologists with staffing, system and equipment issues.Ā
E. Oversee disaster events and run department operations until relieved by Director orĀ
Clinical Manager.Ā
G. This is a working tech position. This person will do X-Ray, IR and MRI exams duringĀ
their shift.Ā
H. While on shift, accomplish activities or may delegate (these common duties may notĀ
be all inclusive for each department).Ā
E. Oversee disaster events and run department operations until relieved by Director orĀ
Clinical Manager.Ā

- ļ· Be the primary point of contact for department during shift related to staffingĀ
- needs, concerns for oncoming shifts and status of patientsĀ
- ļ· Participate in unit specific quality and safety improvement including audits.Ā
- ļ· Attend routine huddles to optimize unit operations and communication.Ā
- ļ· Coach department associates as appropriate using just culture algorithmĀ
- including providing real-time feedback, as needed.Ā

Education and Experience Required:Ā
1. Graduation from an accredited School of Radiology is required for employment.Ā
Bachelor of Science preferred.Ā
2. 1-2 years of Leadership ExperienceĀ
Mandatory Licensure/Certifications:Ā
Current licensure by the Indiana StateĀ
ARRT CertificationĀ
CPR Certification
