Position Summary The Host is the first and last point of contact for members and guests dining at the Falls Clubhouse. This position is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment, managing reservations and seating, coordinating with service staff to ensure smooth dining operations, and upholding the highest standards of member service. The Host is essential in setting the tone of hospitality that reflects the values and standards of Blackhawk Country Club.                                                           Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Greet and warmly welcome members and guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel acknowledged and valued and provide a warm farewell to our departing members. Manage reservations and walk-ins through the Club’s reservation system, keeping accurate wait times and seating charts. Confirm all reservations by contacting members or guests the day prior to their visit. Demonstrate hospitality by escorting members and guests to tables, present menus, and informing them of any specials or upcoming Club events. Communicate table status and member needs effectively with servers, bussers, and managers to ensure seamless service. Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, providing accurate information on hours, menu, and events. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and lobby areas. Track when new menus need to be printed and provide weekly updates to the manager to ensure menus are current and readily available. Monitor dining room flow to balance seating between service staff, ensuring timely and attentive service. Address member inquiries, requests, and concerns with courtesy, escalating issues to management when necessary. Support food and beverage service as needed during peak times, including assisting with resetting tables and event flow. Uphold Blackhawk Country Club’s service standards, appearance guidelines, and safety protocols at all times.  QualificationsMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Previous experience in a hospitality or customer-facing role preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor. Ability to remain calm, organized, and hospitable under pressure. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in reservations, menu management, and table assignments. Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Commitment to delivering exceptional service that reflects the traditions and values of Blackhawk Country Club. WORK ENVIRONMENT  Indoor/Outdoor Setting: The majority of work is performed indoors. Temperature: The work environment may vary in temperature, depending on the location and season. It may include both heated and air-conditioned areas. Noise Level: The work environment can be fast-paced and may involve moderate to high levels of noise from the TV’s or entertainment. Pressure: The role often involves working under pressure, especially during peak times. Interaction: Regular interaction with staff, guests, vendors, and other department heads is common, requiring effective communication, interpersonal skills, and diplomacy.
