Description:

Birch Agency is seeking a Case Cart Technician to join our team

The Case Cart Technician is responsible for assembling, delivering, and retrieving surgical case carts containing instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for scheduled procedures. This role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with sterile processing standards to support safe and efficient surgical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review daily surgery schedules and preference cards to identify required instruments and supplies

  • Assemble case carts accurately according to physician preference cards

  • Pull sterile instrument trays and supplies from inventory

  • Inspect packaging for sterility integrity and expiration dates

  • Deliver case carts to designated operating rooms on schedule

  • Retrieve used carts and instruments following procedures

  • Transport soiled instruments to decontamination areas per infection control guidelines

  • Restock supplies and maintain organized storage areas

  • Assist with inventory management and supply counts

  • Monitor par levels and notify supervisor of shortages

  • Maintain documentation and tracking of case cart assembly

  • Follow infection prevention, OSHA, and hospital safety standards

  • Support Sterile Processing and OR teams as needed

Required Qualifications:
