What You’ll Do

  • Teach and mentor students in your trade through hands-on demonstrations and classroom instruction

  • Design engaging lesson plans, activities, and assessments that reflect real-world industry standards

  • Track student progress, offering constructive feedback and support to help them succeed

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, evaluations, and certifications

  • Ensure training spaces, tools, and equipment are safe, organized, and ready for use

  • Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and best practices

  • Create a respectful, inclusive, and motivating learning environment

  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and career readiness


What You Bring

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree in a related field OR 5+ years of hands-on trade experience

  • Valid certification or license in your trade (if required by industry/state)

  • Strong communication, organizational, and instructional skills

  • Ability to connect with learners from diverse backgrounds and skill levels

  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and instructional tools


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience in a vocational/technical setting

  • OSHA, NCCER, or other industry-recognized certifications

  • Bilingual skills (a plus, but not required)
