| JOB SUMMARY: |
| The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Inbound and Outbound Distribution Center Manager and other Distribution Center Managers by overseeing the efficient processing of received goods. While providing leadership for the team, the goal is to ensure that productivity and quality metrics are consistently met through collaboration and quality checks, while providing training and guidance where needed. The Distribution Center Supervisor will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization. 聽 |
| DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: |
| 路Assists Managers with issuing work assignments to associates within the departments 路Assists Managers with training associates on current work procedures and ensuring compliance with current SOPs within the departments 路Responsible for meeting all expected KPIs for your area 路Answers questions from associates.聽 Escalates issues to other Supervisors and Managers 路Assists Managers with monitoring production rates and quality for each associate 路Assists Supervisors and Managers with monitoring workflow and backlog and takes appropriate action to remedy any concerns 路Handles special projects and assignments as needed 路Performs other duties as may be assigned 聽 |
| REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: |
| 路Proficiency or working knowledge of and experience with Lean and Kaizen principles 路Work assignment and labor planning 路Shift coordination and workload balancing 路Prioritization of tasks in fast-paced environments 路 Monitoring attendance and productivity 路Tracking productivity, accuracy, and quality metrics 路Conducting quality checks and audits 路Identifying performance gaps and implementing corrective actions 路Managing workflow, backlog, and throughput 路On-the-job training and coaching 路SOP enforcement and documentation adherence 路Ensuring safety and compliance with company policies 路Cross-training associates to improve flexibility 路Identifying operational bottlenecks 路Escalating issues appropriately to managers 路Supporting continuous improvement initiatives 路Handling special projects and operational changes 路Inbound receiving, put-away, and outbound shipping processes 路Inventory control basics 路Order fulfillment and staging 路Understanding warehouse layout and material flow 路Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) 路Basic data entry and report interpretation 路Productivity and quality tracking tools 路Familiarity with scanners, RF devices, or barcode systems 路Knowledge of warehouse safety standards 路Understanding of material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, conveyors, forklift certification a plus) 路Ergonomic and hazard awareness 路Clear verbal communication with associates and managers 路Ability to explain procedures and expectations 路Active listening and responding to associate questions 路Professional written communication for reports and documentation 路Leading by example on the floor 路Providing constructive feedback 路Motivating associates to meet productivity and quality goals 路Supporting new hires and underperforming associates 路Managing interpersonal conflicts calmly and fairly 路Maintaining professionalism under pressure 路Building trust and credibility with associates 路Adapting leadership style to different personalities 路Holding associates accountable to standards 路Taking responsibility for department results 路聽Supporting management decisions and initiatives 路Demonstrating reliability and consistency 路Strong organizational skills 路Time management and adaptability 路Attention to detail 路Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 路Dependability and strong work ethic 路Willingness to learn and improve processes 路Ability to read and understand documents such as general correspondence, department reports, and office procedures. 路Ability to speak effectively with employees of the company. 聽 |
| EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: |
| 路High school diploma, GED, two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 聽 |
