As a Security Officer Unarmed - Property Access in Darlington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will engage professionally with employees and visitors, communicate observations, and support a welcoming environment. This driving position reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office, technology, media, and telecommunications facilities, including exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter points.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
  • Report unusual activity, property concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel while helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
