Custodian

SUMMARY:

Keep the premises of building, internal and or external in clean and orderly condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

· Pick-up, sweep & mop assigned areas.

· Empty trash cans in assigned areas.

· Empty steel bins and/or scrap bins in assigned areas.

· Wipe down & clean cabinets, desk, etc, in assigned areas.

· Wipe down & clean machinery in assigned areas.

· Keep maintenance closet picked up & in proper order.

· Make sure all dirty mop heads are put in proper location.

· Report any malfunction or problems with the rider & walk behind floor scrubbers to supervisor.

· Keep all shop corners picked-up & cleaned.

· Keep area behind all shop machines picked-up & cleaned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Knowledge, recognition, care and use of all equipment pertinent to the job requirements.

· Begin and complete a project with a minimum of supervision.

· Flexibility to change routines.

· Must have good attendance and be dependable.

· Be at your workstation ready to work at assigned time.

· Be a team player, but also be able to work alone.

· Must have consideration for all team members.

· Be a willing learner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Must be able to pass background/drug tests.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

All team members are expected to work in an alert and conscientious manner, following all safety rules and proceduresand remaining in the proper physical condition to perform their work assignments.
