  • The successful candidate will manage cross-functional projects from discovery to implementation, ensuring measurable business results are achieved.
  • The salary for this position is competitive, reflecting the role's responsibilities and the expertise required.
  • Candidates should possess at least a few years of relevant experience in similar roles to effectively contribute to SIGMA's mission.

The Business Analyst / Project Manager serves as the bridge between business needs, process improvement, technology, data, and project execution across SIGMA. This hybrid role is responsible for taking business opportunities and problems from idea through implementation. The position will work with leaders and subject matter experts to understand current-state challenges, define requirements, evaluate solutions, establish measurable outcomes, and then manage approved initiatives through successful completion. The ultimate purpose of the position is to help SIGMA make better decisions, execute those decisions more effectively, and ensure projects produce measurable business results. This role is intended to increase SIGMA's capacity to execute cross-functional initiatives while reducing the project-management burden currently absorbed by Business Systems & Development Leadership and Senior Leadership.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Partner with departmental leaders and subject matter experts to identify business problems, opportunities, process gaps, and improvement needs.
  • Analyze current-state processes, identify root causes, and define clear future-state requirements and desired business outcomes.
  • Gather, document, and translate business and functional requirements into process maps, workflows, and actionable solutions.
  • Evaluate potential solutions based on business impact, cost, effort, risk, resources, and organizational readiness, and develop supporting business cases.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, or eliminate inefficient processes across the organization.
  • Own cross-functional projects from initial discovery and project charter through implementation, closeout, and transition to operational ownership.
  • Develop and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resources, and accountability across stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional project coordination, proactively managing decisions, risks, obstacles, scope changes, and resource constraints, with appropriate leadership escalation.
  • Coordinate testing, implementation, training, communication, and organizational rollout with BSA, IT, Training, Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Establish KPIs and baseline measures, evaluate post-implementation results, capture lessons learned, and continuously improve SIGMA's project intake, prioritization, execution, and measurement processes.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role is not measured by the number of meetings held, documents created, or projects marked complete. It is measured by whether the organization is better because the project was completed.

A successful Business Analyst / Project Manager will:

  • Turn ambiguous ideas and business problems into clear, actionable initiatives with defined objectives, ownership, and success measures.
  • Drive cross-functional projects forward independently, improving communication and accountability while reducing reliance on functional and senior leadership.
  • Identify risks, obstacles, and required decisions early to prevent delays and maintain project momentum.
  • Deliver measurable business improvement and build scalable, repeatable processes rather than one-time solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business, technology, operations, or project management field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis, project management, process improvement, systems implementation, or operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including translating complex needs into actionable plans and influencing across departments without direct authority.

Preferred

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Experience with process mapping, workflow design, requirements gathering, and systems implementation.
  • Experience developing business cases, ROI analyses, KPIs, and other measures of project success.
