Salary range; $70,000 to $90,000 annually based on related experience


Meeting Street is currently looking for Registered Nurses for 40 hours per week.


Duties:

  • Administers medications and performs nursing procedures ordered by the physician to be given during school hours including but not limited to G-Tube feedings, catheterizations, respiratory treatments, dialysis, dressing changes, wound care, trach care and suctioning, etc.
  • Performs ongoing health status evaluations and medication/treatment reviews to identify health needs and potential problems.
  • Documents all nursing care and changes in a student’s health status.
  • Communicates timely updates to families and applicable school staff regarding health concerns or changes in the health status of the student Collaborates with the other disciplines involved in a student’s care, to optimize the student school experience.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts
  • Willingness to become licensed as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island
  • Maintains current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification.
  • Adapts to any medical/technical equipment that is needed to provide health services to our students
  • Provides care for students in their classrooms, special activities, and on field trips
  •  Be able to sit, stand and walk continuously during the workday
  •  Be able to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, grip with whole hand- right, left & both hands, finger pinch items-right, left and both hands, use hand power tools, use a computer, transfer patient, climb stairs, reach above shoulder level-both right, left & both arms and assist in lifting and carrying students as well as transfers from wheelchairs to equipment
