CNC Lathe Operator

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
We are assisting a growing high-precision job shop specializing in complex, one-off and short-run parts in their search for a skilled CNC Operator who can program and run either a 5-Axis Mill and/or a live tooling CNC Lathe.

What You’ll Do
- Program, set up, and operate 5-axis milling machines and/or live tooling CNC lathes
- Work from solid models and complex drawings
- Optimize toolpaths for accuracy, efficiency, and surface finish
- Select tooling and work holding strategies independently
- Inspect your own work to tight tolerances
- Contribute ideas to improve processes and reduce cycle time
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years CNC experience (5-axis and/or live tooling lathe preferred)
- Strong CAM programming skills
- Ability to run complex parts with minimal supervision
- Experience in a high-mix, short-run job shop environment
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Ability to problem-solve and think ahead
- High level of accountability and pride in workmanship

Paid Time Off:
- 2 weeks vacation after the first 90 days (3 weeks after 1 year)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate overhead cranes as needed.
- Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Shop environment includes moderate noise and temperature control.
- PPE required: Steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.
