Alter Metal Recycling in Davenport, IA is looking for someone to assist in the leading the daily operations of our Non-Ferrous Recovery Plant (NFR). This role assists a supervisor and is a step into a leadership role.

Alter Metal in Davenport. IA is searching for a Working Lead on our Night Shift at its Davenport, Iowa facility.

Hours are: Monday - Friday, 4:00pm - 4:30am. (12 hour shifts)

Summary:

Support supervision of 10-12 employee staff, and fill in for related supervisor duties during absences
Ensure employee break schedule is followed
Must be capable of learning and performing all job functions of the plant
During breaks the Lead rotates our employees so there is always coverage
Needs to be able to operate mobile equipment and fill in as necessary
During employee absences must be able to work positions to provide coverage
Responsible for leading the non-maintenance group during unplanned downtime
Responsible to ensure radios are all signed out and accounted for
Responsible for the data collection during weigh outs
Responsible for leading the cleaning team during the maintenance cleaning hours
Must have good communication skills and be a positive team player.

PAY RATE: $20.50/hr
