About the Role:
Rooftop Host - 2nd Shift. 5pm-10pm. Fridays and Saturdays
As a Restaurant Host at our rooftop of The Current Hotel, you will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your role is pivotal in managing guest flow, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring timely and courteous service from arrival to departure. You will collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to maintain a welcoming and organized environment, especially during peak hours and special events. This position requires a proactive approach to guest relations, anticipating needs and resolving any issues promptly to uphold our high standards. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute significantly to guest satisfaction, repeat business, and the overall success of our rooftop restaurant.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage physical tasks related to seating and greeting guests.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a rooftop or high-volume restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with reservation and seating management software.
- Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations related to food service.
- Certification in hospitality or customer service training programs.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing information about the restaurant and rooftop amenities.
- Manage reservations and walk-in guest seating efficiently to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times.
- Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
- Maintain an organized and clean host station and waiting area, including managing guest waitlists and providing accurate wait time estimates.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
