Â
As a Supervisor at MercyOne, you will be responsible for all patient registration and pre-registration activities across Genesis Health System hospital. Supervises, plans, and coordinates the various functions of Admissions, including Emergency Services registration, pre-registration, pre insurance verification. Responsible for facilitating employee supervision, oversight of all registration activities, including answering patient inquiries and assisting with registration as necessary. Will insure all activities achieve high patient satisfaction levels and support successful registration and billing activities, while promoting the standards and philosophies of Genesis Health System. Additional responsibilities will be assisting with insurance verification

Variable hours that require flexing to meet the needs of 3 shifts Being on call is a requirement
General Requirements:Â
Key Relationships Manager, Patient Access Large Group Responsibility (Multiple Shift): The job requires direct supervision of more than 12 employees. Job duties include the full range of supervisory activities such as hiring, training, assigning, monitoring and assessing work, promoting etc. Work involves ensuring that human resource related decisions are compatible with the organization's policies, practices and direction. Incumbent has multiple shift responsibilities for staff.
Work requires limited responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include supplies, equipment, inventories, small budgets, and other similar material assets. The employee has a limited amount of control over these resources. The cost of errors is also limited in terms of damage, waste or financial loss. Problems associated with material resources are not complex. The volume of resources may vary, but the level of difficulty in dealing with these resources is uncomplicated. ​
Education:Â
2 year college program or equivalent experience
Business, Management, or related field
Patient registration and/or pre-registration experience, insurance verification experience
CHAM, Medical terminology, supervisory/management experience; strong organizational skills
More than 2 years experience required.
