Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is hiring a Plant Superintendent to play a key leadership role at our new degumming facility in David City, Nebraska. This position reports directly to the Plant Operations Manager and is responsible for leading day-to-day plant operations, driving safe and efficient production, and developing a high-performing team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in an operational environment, enjoys building processes, and takes pride in running a safe, efficient plant.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production.

  • Inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, coordinate shutdowns, and communicate effectively with operations, maintenance, and management.

  • Monitor production output and quality, ensuring standards are consistently met.

  • Oversee equipment performance and ensure preventative maintenance practices are followed.

  • Train, supervise, and develop plant employees by:

    • Scheduling work and assigning responsibilities

    • Monitoring quality and productivity

    • Conducting performance evaluations

    • Addressing employee relations and disciplinary matters as needed

  • Develop and manage operational and improvement projects.

  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.

  • Participate in company meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 3+ years of supervisory or plant leadership experience (manufacturing, processing, or industrial environment preferred).

  • Experience or knowledge of refined oil processing or degumming operations strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations related to plant operations.

  • Proven ability to lead, train, motivate, and hold teams accountable.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with analytical thinking and solid organizational abilities.

  • Hands-on comfort operating industrial machinery, hand and power tools, and standard office equipment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills with a professional, respectful leadership style.

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and remain flexible when priorities shift.
