All staff are required to hold current Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certifications by the first day of work. Â
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Cannon Pool (Main Campus)
- Attentive supervision of lap swimmers in the water and on the pool deck
- Maintain a clear pool deck
- Enforce all rules posted in the pool
- Open and close the pool at the beginning and end of shifts
- Respond to emergencies
Lake Campus
- Ensure a safe environment at the beach and the swim area of Lake Campus
- Set up/break down equipment and specific facility areas daily, including but not limited to: cleaning restrooms, removing trash and recycling, maintaining lifeguard equipment such as a chair, tubes, backboard, and first aid supplies, rakingthe  beach, and beach games
- Maintain coverage at the gatehouse as needed at the front of the facility during Day Camp at the Lake weekdays and for outside groups on weekends
- Enforce all rules posted at Lake Campus
- Respond to emergencies
Required Qualifications:
- Current Lifeguarding and CPR/First Aid/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification
- Ability to work a flexible schedule of approximately 30 hours per week – lifeguards collectively cover 7 days per week
- Available May 30-August 16
