What You’ll Do As a Retail Store Associate, you’ll play a hands-on role in both customer experience and plant care. Deliver exceptional, knowledgeable customer service Guide customers in plant selection, gardening solutions, and product recommendations Receive, unload, price, and merchandise plant and product shipments Water, groom, and maintain plant material to ensure top quality and presentation Keep displays, sales areas, and workspaces clean and visually appealing Operate the register accurately and efficiently Support daily garden center operations as part of a collaborative team QualificationsWhat Makes You a Great Fit? Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented Strong communication skills and a service mindset Interest in gardening or horticulture (experience is helpful but not required — we’ll train you) Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Able to lift 30–50 lbs and stay active throughout your shift Available to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal hours Retail or customer service experience is a plus Why Homestead Gardens?
