About the Role:
Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join their dedicated team in Junction City, KY! Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and administer medications and vaccines
- Conduct and process diagnostic tests including bloodwork, urinalysis, and radiographs
- Monitor and care for anesthetized patients during surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate patient medical records using practice management software
- Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care instructions
- Ensure exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment are clean, stocked, and properly sanitized
Requirements:
- Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and patient recovery
- Strong phlebotomy and laboratory diagnostic skills
- Ability to safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-friendly demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy clinic setting
