Works under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.  Assists patients in achieving and restoring strength, endurance and coordination through a therapeutic program.  Follows designated treatment protocol in application of all therapeutic modalities.



Qualifications:

 

Required:

Possess Associates Degree in accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.

Possess 1-3 months of related job experience.

Valid PTA licensure for the State of Michigan.

Trained and educated in age-specific categories being served:  infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Capable of spending 25-35%25 of time lifting, carrying, and moving items that weigh 25 pounds or more.

Ability to effectively communicate and present self to people in courteous, tactful and poised manner.
