Job DetailsJob Location: Davison, MI 48423Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Welder is to fabricate and assemble metal structures and products through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools according to provided specifications. The Welder should also serve as a working team member and individual contributor to the overall team’s success. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: Use welding machines to assemble, repair, and maintain metal equipment and structures or various sizes Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to determine operations, required materials, and timeframes for projects Set up, operate, and maintain welding and cutting equipment Load and unload equipment and supplies as directed Clean and organize shop and other areas as required Adhere to applicable company and regulatory agency environmental, health and safety standards Ensure that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities QualificationsQualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Applicable welding certification(s) preferred Mechanical experience or knowledge a plus Ability to use measurement tools and devices  Specific Expectations: Ability to work effectively with others Ability to multi-task in a changing environment Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Strong time management and organizational skills Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward   Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
