Chemical company located in Theodore, AL is currently looking for an experienced full time QA/QC Field Technician.

 

Must be able to pass background check / Drug Screen / Physical

Must have a VALID Driver's License

CWI Required

Work Schedule:  Mon - Thurs (6:30 am - 5:00 pm)  Some overtime mandatory

Pay:   $32.14 - $36.50 Depending on experience

 

Requirements:
QC inspector needed with 3-5 years experience in weld inspection, Flange torquing and package walkdowns. The individual must have previous ASNT-TC-1A VT & PT certification.

Summary: Inspections will include welds, rupture disc, relief valves and bolt tightness. Perform discipline specific inspections, examinations and tests that are required to be executed in accordance with documented procedures and/or industry practices. Be familiar and demonstrate proficiency with tools and equipment employed in conducting inspections, examinations and tests. Capable of determining calibration status of measuring and test equipment (M&TE), determine M&TE is in suitable condition for use, and that inspection, examination, and test procedures are approved. Additionally, demonstrate capabilities in planning inspections, examinations, and test; in setting up tests including preparation and set-up of related equipment, as appropriate; in supervising inspections, examinations, and tests; in reporting inspection, examination, and testing results; and in evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection examination, and test results. Demonstrated capabilities to supervise and manage activities of inspectors within a discipline, and implement the Quality program requirements. Capable of performing the lead function for developing inspection test procedures and reports as required for the assigned project, and review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure adequate provisions have been made for inspection and test. The individual should also have knowledge in the basics of cross-disciplines activities.
