Athletic Trainer

• Dayton, OH | Full-Time - Hours vary

Job Duties:

Provide prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of athletic injuries. Provide instruction in the care and prevention of athletic injuries. Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries. Maintain records that adhere to professional standards and practice activities and prepare reports on injuries and treatment programs.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, Exercise Science or a closely related field plus 6 months experience in prevention, assessment, and management techniques of athletic injuries.

• Must also include 6 months experience in treatment, rehabilitation, and re-conditioning of athletic injuries; Orthopedic examination and assessment including lumbar spine, lower extremity, and upper extremity, face, head, thoracic spine, cervical spine, thorax, and abdomen; Therapeutic interventions; Pharmacology including routes of administration, and basic pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics; Human anatomy and physiology; Biomechanics; Emergency management and care; Concussion evaluation, management, and care; and Evaluation, care, and referral of general medical conditions. 

• Requires valid Athletic Trainer License for Ohio and Athletic Trainer Board Certification.
