Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Executive Director in prioritizing the needs of the agency and community regarding diabetes education programming. - Provide medical nutrition therapy in-person or via telehealth. - Lead Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) sessions at locations including Diabetes Dayton and various community locations. QualificationsRequired Education: - Registered dietitian licensed to work as an RD in the State of Ohio Required Experience: - Experience in both clinical and community settings preferred - Proven ability to provide medical nutrition therapy in-person or via telehealth - Experience in leading Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) sessions - Demonstrated accountability for professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong ability to prioritize the needs of the agency and community regarding diabetes education programming - Proficient in the development and dissemination of nutrition education materials and wellness education programs - Excellent communication skills for engaging with agency clients, staff, and the general public - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently - Competency in utilizing telehealth platforms for delivering nutrition therapy - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing educational sessions and materials
