Location: Vandalia, Ohio, USA (onsite)

Document Control Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, maintaining, storing, archiving, and retrieving all documents and records necessary to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements. This position ensures that all departments have the latest accurate revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner. The role is based out of our Vandalia, Ohio facility and requires on-site work.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Store, manage, and track the company’s documents

  • Scan, organize, and maintain documents, adhering to the company’s document lifecycle procedures, and archive records in accordance with procedures

  • Coordinates storage, archiving, and retrieval of documents and quality system records with other departments

  • Ensure the proper documents are created and signed, that all data is accurate and that documents are stored and backed up and any retention procedures are followed

  • Ensures documents meet requirements of Good Documentation Practices

  • Ensures the timely and accurate processing of Change Controls for Master Manufacturing Records and all other documentation

  • Tracks all employee training requirements and records for all departments

  • Confers with document originators to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents

  • Ensures documents meet approved format and template

  • Tracks and trends the effectiveness of document systems

  • Maintains all master and controlled documents

  • Archives documents

  • Supports the Quality Assurance Manager by collecting, maintaining, storing, and retrieving documents

  • Ensures orderly storage and expedient retrieval of all documentation
