Job Details:

The Orthopedic Technician plays a vital role in supporting orthopedic providers and enhancing patient care across outpatient clinics, procedural units, and specialty services. The Ortho Tech is responsible for the application, adjustment, and removal of orthopedic casts, splints, and related devices, while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and education throughout the treatment process. This role works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and clinic staff to support efficient clinic flow, high quality care delivery, and an excellent patient and family experience.

Ortho Techs demonstrate strong clinical skills in casting and splinting (including upper and lower extremity applications), assist with patient assessments such as vital signs and pain screening, and provide clear education to patients and caregivers regarding device care, activity limitations, and follow up needs. They are expected to maintain compliance with infection prevention, HIPAA, and safety standards, while accurately documenting care and supporting clinic operations such as scheduling coordination, referrals, and patient throughput.

Preferred Qualifications
OTC certification highly encouraged
