We are looking for: Surgery Veterinary Credentialed TechnicianÂ
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 8a-6p, one weekend per month. On call hours once fully trained.

Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment, perfect for technicians that are looking for training in multiple facets of the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requires strong communication skills to liaison between surgeons and clients and deliver post-operative care instructions.Â

What you’ll do:Â

- Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etcÂ
- Fill medications, enter charges and maintain accurate medical records, schedule appointmentsÂ
- Create patient releases, navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligationsÂ
- Prep patients for surgery, including shaving, scrubbing and positioning, assist with intubation and radiographsÂ
- Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodworkÂ
- Ensure documentation is accurate and completeÂ
- Opening, turning over and cleaning operating rooms, as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packsÂ

Who are you:Â
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license requiredÂ
- Prior veterinary experience required, previous surgery experience desiredÂ
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)Â
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessaryÂ
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
