2nd Shift (3pm - 11pm) Table Operator

 

Purpose

Responsible for removal of composite springs from production molds.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Produces quality springs while removing from molds.
  • Must be precise when removing springs to ensure no damage to springs or molds.
  • Lifts and removes springs from mold using a hammer & chisel.
  • Checks temperatures of the molds.
  • Cleans and prepares molds for start of the production process.
  • Must be able to organize all aspects of the process.
  • Perform inspection on product utilizing total quality concepts.
  • Accurately report daily activities and production data as directed.
  • Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Exercise safe working habits while operating machines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Team Lead
  • Interact with technical support personnel and support downtime activities.
  • Must possess a high level of attention to details.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of safety culture, participating in safety training sessions, and promptly reporting any safety concerns.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Training

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Prior production assembly experience, 1-2 yrs. preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work overtime, as production demands require.
  • Must be able to utilize hand tools and may work in a team or independently.
  • Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.
  • Must follow all safety practices and policies.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.

 Physical Demands

  • Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp.
  • Frequent use of firm grasping, fine manipulation, and pitching.
  • Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.

Environmental Conditions

  • Non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility.
  • Must wear eye, ear, and foot protection.
