Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, manage floor staff, and ensure the safe and efficient flow of inventory from receiving to shipping. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of supply chain and logistics processes, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff, including shipping, receiving, pick/pack, and inventory control personnel.
- Schedule shifts, manage workflow priorities, and allocate daily labor to meet operational demands and shipping deadlines.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and handle onboarding and training for new hires.
- Operations & Workflow Oversight:
- Monitor the end-to-end warehouse lifecycle, ensuring accuracy in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
- Optimize warehouse layout and slotting strategies to maximize space utilization and pick-path efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational bottlenecks, equipment malfunctions, or inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Inventory Control:
- Oversee regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and report discrepancies, shrinkages, or damaged goods according to company policy.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct routine safety inspections of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) and facility infrastructure.
- Lead daily safety huddles and ensure incident-free shift handoffs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, RF scanners).

- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to GESMV’s liability insurance provider.
- Ability to have reliable transportation as a means of transporting assigned referrals to job interviews in the community, attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to pass random drug screenings.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
