Job Description
SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager is a key member of the accounting team responsible for overseeing and managing various financial activities within the organization. The role involves advanced-level accounting tasks, financial analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
This is not a remote position. The expectation is onsite at least 2 days a week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist with month end close accounting and reporting responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring that company financial statements and related accounting procedures are prepared and maintained in accordance with GAAP
- Monitor compliance with Accounting Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements
- Participate in analytics through all stages of reporting
- Drive automation and process improvements to increase accuracy and reduce manual effort
- Analyze and review monthly/quarterly adjustments
- Coordinate and provide support for internal and external audits.
- Review consolidated and division financial statements and prepare adjustments as needed
- Focus on continuous improvement to create efficiencies
- Prepare and Review Accounting Policy Documentation
- Coordinate cross-department initiatives
- Prepare reports and present findings to various levels of leadership throughout the organization
- Ensure that the division financial statements are accurate and timely
- Analyze division performance and follow up with Division Management to resolve any questions
- Perform ad-hoc requests as needed.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum Degree: Bachelor’s Degree
Course of Study:Â Accounting Degree Required
Special Certification or Licensing: CPA Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum experience: 5 years of accounting experience of which at least 3 years’ experience is for a publicly traded company or public accounting firm or large/ mid-size PE backed firm
- 2+ years of management experience
- Legal Age Requirements: At least 18 years of age
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail, demonstrate integrity, and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Technical skills including advanced spreadsheet development, VB macros, Alteryx, Power Bi or other automation tools strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel and ERP experience (Oracle experience is a plus)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong management and communication skills

POSITION LOCATION:
Daytona Beach, FL. This is not a remote position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, lifting boxes and packages under 10 lbs.

Compensation Range:
$90,000.00 - $135,000.00The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
