Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Resource Coordinator to support children and families participating in our Early Steps Program.
The Family Resource Coordinator serves as a vital link between families, community resources, and Early Steps services. This position provides family support, education, advocacy, training, and resource coordination to help families access the services they need and achieve positive outcomes for their children.

A Snapshot of What You Will Be Doing:
• Build supportive relationships with families and meet with them on a regular basis.
• Provide education, training, and technical assistance to families.
• Assist families in identifying resources and navigating community supports.
• Help families in crisis develop appropriate resources and support systems.
• Coordinate and promote parent-to-parent support opportunities.
• Maintain information on community resources and referral networks.
• Gather family feedback to improve services and ensure family-centered care.
• Collaborate with Early Steps staff, community partners, and family organizations.
• Participate in local and state advocacy, advisory, and family support initiatives.
• Support training activities, workshops, and family engagement efforts.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and program requirements.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Must be a parent of a child with special needs who is currently receiving, or has previously received, Children's Medical Services through Early Steps in Florida or another state/country.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure effective interaction with community partners/agencies and team members, as well as to make effective presentations
• Experience working with families in a volunteer or professional capacity preferred
• Experience with and ability to work with diverse populations
• Excellent organizational, time management, customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of local community resources
• Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required, to drive to meetings and for other business-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
