The role you’ll contribute:
Provides accurate and reliable laboratory testing services to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Performs laboratory tests, calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment. Ensures that laboratory test results meet established quality control standards, analyzes and interprets them. Improves laboratory practices.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
• Ability to prepare tissue specimens to confirm patient diagnoses
• Ability to perform complex histological procedures, record and analyze data, and maintain/repair instruments
• Up-to-date knowledge of specimen handling, ranging from accession to specimen storage
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Ability to support continuous laboratory service improvement to ensure timely preparations for quality diagnoses
• Ability to maintain safety standards and comply with government regulations in laboratory practices
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals

Minimum qualifications:
Associates Degree
Clinical Laboratory Technologist State Licensure
