We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in Daytona Beach, Florida. What You’ll Do
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate supporting documentation
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support annual audit activities, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions and operational improvements
- Prepare routine and ad hoc reports for leadership
- Assist with bank reconciliations and inventory accounting
- Collaborate with internal teams to support overall financial objectives
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or actively pursuing CPA strongly preferred
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated stability/tenure in previous roles
- Construction or real estate industry experience is a plus
