What you'll be able to do:
Data Scientist - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Work closely with business stakeholders and other project team members to help Ford drive profitable growth and to maintain and increase customer satisfaction. Acquire deep understanding of business opportunities and address them with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Operations Research (OR). Translate high-level ideas into well-defined mathematical problems. Pinpoint which elements of sample datasets can be most effectively leveraged in optimization models and what potentially useful information may be missing. Design and implement heuristic algorithms for obtaining feasible solutions quickly. Develop and implement mixed integer programming formulations and computationally efficient methods for obtaining optimal or near-optimal solutions. Develop complete system designs that include data, pre-processing, optimization, post-processing and interfaces for user interaction. Engage stakeholders during this development cycle to gather feedback to enhance and integrate the product into existing systems or processes and scale the product to offer solutions with a reasonable computation time and to apply for various business cases.
You'll have…
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Developing algorithms with high computational complexity from scratch to provide a scalable and quality solution. 2. Utilizing AI, ML, and OR to solve applied logistics problems, translating business requirements into mathematical rules. 3. Designing experiments to test new algorithms in low-risk environments. 4. Translate business requirements and specifications into usable and scalable software. 5. Performing in-depth analysis of historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Integrating AI/ML/OR algorithms within existing software for usability and high adoption. 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Maintaining production software in languages Python and Java.
We are offering a salary of $128,710.00 - $182,338.56/yr.
