The Role
As the Director, Central Transformation, you are the primary architect of the transformation vision and process roadmap for Ford’s enterprise-wide transformation. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization's overarching operational transformation strategy. This position is responsible for driving enterprise-wide continuous improvement and problem solving initiatives, developing standardized methodologies, and fostering a culture of operational excellence across all business units.
The Director, Central Transformation is responsible for defining technical vision, architectural roadmap, and process re-engineering excellence standards for all enterprise-wide operational transformation initiatives. This role drives the adoption of advanced methodologies, technologies, and best practices to achieve significant, scalable improvements across the entire organization, fostering a culture of technical innovation and continuous improvement.
 

You Will...

•    Strategic Process Architecture & Standards: Define the long-term process roadmap and establish the "Gold Standard" for process engineering, problem solving, and digital transformation frameworks across all business units.


•    Value-Driven Portfolio Management: Strategically oversee the transformation portfolio and "Waste Inventory," driving decisions on resource distribution and investment allocation to maximize enterprise ROI.


•    Process Authority & Mentorship: Provide expert process design review and guidance to central and dedicated teams, ensuring methodological rigor, innovative solution design, and adherence to established standards.


•    Enterprise Integration & Stakeholder Alignment: Lead the process design of complex, cross-functional programs, partnering with IT and GDIA to ensure seamless integration of digital tools with optimized workflows.


•    Capability Advancement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving excellence by driving enterprise-wide skill development, knowledge sharing, and a "first-principles" approach to problem-solving.


•    Process Risk Governance: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate process and systemic risks associated with large-scale integrations and complex transformation efforts.


•    Impact & Performance Measurement: Define and track sophisticated KPIs to measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions, utilizing data-driven insights to fuel continuous optimization.

•    Strategic Change Management: Expertise in driving organizational adoption, managing resistance, and leading teams through large-scale process transitions.
•    Complex Problem Solving: Deep mastery of Lean Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, and other continuous improvement frameworks to solve intricate process and systemic challenges at scale.
•    Communication & Influence: Superior ability to translate complex process and transformation roadmaps into clear business value for executive leadership and diverse stakeholders.
•    Program & Portfolio Execution: Strong capabilities in overseeing the execution lifecycle of complex transformation programs from design to enterprise-wide rollout.
•    Financial & Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the cost implications, ROI, and long-term financial benefits associated with transformation investments.
•    Navigating Ambiguity: The resilience to lead effectively through uncertainty, providing clear direction and structured solutions in rapidly changing environments.
•    Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Systems, Mechanical), or a related technical field.
•    Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership in process engineering, continuous improvement, or business transformation, with a heavy emphasis on technology-enabled workflows.
•    Strategic Track Record: Proven experience defining and implementing enterprise-wide process strategies and transformation architectures.
•    Certifications (Required): Problem-solving and lean certifications, i.e., Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt, Shingo Institute Alumni/Certification.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
