The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Follow-Up Analyst to serve as a lead coordinator for our materials management activities. Reporting to the Materials Planning & Logistics Supervisor, you will be the critical link between FCS, our major OEM customers, and our supplier base. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless flow of materials, managing everything from shipping documentation to inventory accuracy to ensure our customers' requirements are met with precision.
Essential Functions
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the single point of contact for customers and suppliers regarding material flow and availability.
- Shipping & Receiving Management: Transform Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) into supplier receipts and generate customer ASNs by creating and finalizing shippers.
- Requirements Fulfillment: Proactively monitor and ensure that all customer material requirements are met on time.
- Logistics Expediting: Lead expediting efforts for shipments as required to prevent supply chain disruptions.
- Data & Record Integrity: Maintain high standards of record accuracy within materials management systems.
- Returns Management: Coordinate and finalize shippers for the return of rejected materials to suppliers.
- Operational Support: Support specific projects requiring leadership skills and perform other materials management tasks as assigned.
Qualifications We are looking for a motivated professional who excels in a fast-paced, professional office environment and understands the complexities of automotive or industrial logistics. To be successful, you will possess:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically within Material Planning and Logistics (MP&L).
- Demonstrated ability to access and navigate the Common Materials Management System ver. 3 (CMMS3).
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage relationships with OEM customers and suppliers.
- Ability to travel between sites/buildings as required and perform standard office-based physical tasks.
