The Food Service Associate (FSA) supports the daily operations of the Employee Dining Room by providing efficient, friendly, and accurate service to employees and guests. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming dining experience through professional interaction, knowledgeable menu communication, and attentive service.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to staff and Henry Ford Academy Staff and students
- Assist with daily Employee Dining Room operations, including food service, stocking, and maintaining service areas
- Communicate menu items, ingredients, and available options accurately
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment
- Monitor food presentation and service areas and communicate replenishment needs
- Operate point-of-sale equipment and accurately process transactions, as applicable
- Respond to employee and guest questions and service needs in a courteous and professional manner
- Work effectively with Culinary, Food & Beverage, and other team members to support daily operations
- Follow The Henry Ford policies, procedures, and service standards
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the Employee Dining Room

Qualifications
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
- Weekday, weekend, evening and holiday availability
- Requires some high school or equivalent experience
- Must be customer service focused with a hospitable demeanor

- Should be enthusiastic and possess good communication and oral skills
- Self starter with knowledge of suggestive selling techniques
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
