Mobile Technician ResponsibilitiesÂ
Inspect & Repair:Â
- Perform maintenance and repairs on air brake systems, electrical systems, and trailer components.
- Inspect and repair trailer bodies, chassis, doors, floors, and more.
- Handle minor mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies, including lift gates.
- Conduct welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed.
Install & Replace:Â
- Install add-on components such as toolboxes, ramp kits, dunnage racks, and winches.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
Quality Checks & Reporting:Â
- Prepare service reports and documentation.
- Examine work for defects and ensure high-quality repairs.
- Follow troubleshooting procedures and communicate concerns or needs.
Safety First:Â
- Follow all safety standards, policies, and regulations.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
Â
Required QualificationsÂ
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no recent DUIs).
- Valid CDL license and DOT medical card.
- Reliable transportation.
- Own a personal set of hand tools.
- Broad knowledge of semi-trailer equipment, tools, and systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and welding equipment.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Preferred QualificationsÂ
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in semi-trailer repairs.
- ASE or other industry-recognized certifications (welding certification a plus).
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Â
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentÂ
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Use of forklifts, hand tools, welding equipment, and refrigerated trailers.
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, and extreme temperatures.
- Moderate to loud noise levels; potential risk of electrical shock.
- Work may be performed in shops, yards, or on customer sites via mobile service trucks.
