Transmission Calibration is a critical proficiency for Ford as Product Development increasingly seeks to implement new powertrain technologies (ICE, PHEV, FHEV) that require safety-critical software/calibration to deliver complex control actions. This need is driven by Ford's desire to continue to be a leader in technologies such as advanced propulsion systems and their integration with vehicle dynamic control, active safety, and driver assistance systems. Only by ensuring that these sophisticated technologies are accurately crafted and calibrated for functional safety, will Ford deliver the highest quality products.
This position focuses on automatic transmission calibration and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) with a strong emphasis on drivability using both internal and external metrics. This position focuses on integrating electro-hydraulic controls, software validation, scheduling, clutch pressure control, and delivery of best-in-class overall driveability. Â
