Service Coordinator (Customer Support & Work Orders)

Michigan, North Dakota

Leading Edge Equipment is looking for an organized, customer-focused Service Coordinator to join our team in Michigan, ND. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in an office environment, helping customers, and keeping things organized.

As a Service Coordinator, you'll be the connection between customers, technicians, and the service manager—helping ensure work orders are accurate, schedules run smoothly, and customers stay informed throughout the repair process.

No prior equipment experience is required—we’ll train the right person.

Reports to: Service Manager

What You'll Do

  • Create and manage service work orders from start to finish

  • Communicate with customers about repair status, approvals, and scheduling

  • Prepare repair estimates and help coordinate approvals

  • Enter technician notes, labor hours, and parts into work orders

  • Assist technicians by coordinating needed parts and supplies

  • Help schedule equipment pick-up and delivery when needed

  • Maintain service records and customer equipment information

  • Support daily organization of the service department

  • Assist with invoicing and closing completed work orders

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment

  • Comfort working with computers and learning new software

  • A team-oriented attitude and willingness to help where needed

Preferred (But Not Required)

  • Administrative or office experience

  • Customer service experience

  • Experience in a service department (automotive, diesel, ag, or heavy equipment)

Work Environment

This position works primarily within the service office at our equipment dealership. You’ll interact with customers, technicians, and office staff while helping keep the service department running smoothly.
