As a Human Resources Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, the projects assigned will vary based on the intern’s education level and plant location, but will generally reflect the duties outlined below. 

 

Summary of Responsibilities:  

  • Recruitment, employment, job postings and employee transfers 

  • New employee orientation and training 

  • Administration of human resources policies and programs 

  • Administration of employee compensation, benefits, relocation, and immigration programs 

  • Coordination/facilitation of performance review process for client departments 

  • Prepare, maintain, and retrieve applicant and employee records 

  • Collect, analyze, and report data and information 

  • Prepare, review, and process documents, including reports, memos, letters, spreadsheets, and presentations 

  • Various other duties as needed to support the business 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or another business-related degree 

  • Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2026
