Pipe Layer

OVERVIEW

Archer Western Construction-Snell JV is currently seeking a Pipe Layer for the Atlanta Region, GDOT I-285/I-20 East Interchange in Decatur GA.

The Pipe Layer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other type of pipe for water/gas main, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits
• Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
• Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred
• Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Archer Western Construction-Snell JV está buscando actualmente un Capa de Tubería para la Región de Atlanta, Proyecto GDTO I-285/I-20 East Interchange en Decatur GA. 

La función principal de un Capa de Tubería es realizará tareas de colocación de tuberías que involucran trabajo físico (colocación, unión, envoltura, sellado) en sitios de trabajo de construcción, incluidos proyectos comerciales, industriales o civiles pesados; puede operar herramientas manuales y / o eléctricas según sea necesario; puede preparar el sitio y ayudar con otras tareas que le sean asignadas.

RESPONSABILIDADES

• Capacidad para realizar tareas que incluyen trabajo físico según las instrucciones del supervisor

CALIFICACIONES

• Experiencia de construcción verificable de 1 año preferido
• Debe poder levantar hasta 50 libras; puede ser requerido para trabajar en varias condiciones climáticas
• Requiere la capacidad de cumplir con todas las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad; comunicarse efectivamente con compañeros de trabajo y supervisores para asegurar que los proyectos se completen adecuadamente
• Poseer una fuerte ética de trabajo y ganas de aprender
