Job Summary
The Electrical Technician details electrical designs and assembles Release Packages under the direction of an Electrical Engineer, facilitating the completion of panel designs and their implementation — either personally or by sharing the assignment with Engineering Assistants. This role also performs mechanical assembly duties at times, supporting production needs alongside electrical panel-building work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Detail equipment schematics as directed by Electrical Engineer(s).
- Build control panels in accordance with approved electrical designs.
- Prepare and interpret electrical schematics.
- Make as-built changes after a job is completed.
- Apply a strong understanding of electrical circuits and design principles.
- Apply working knowledge of programming software as needed.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites for field service or installation support.
- Perform mechanical assembly duties as assigned, supporting production schedules alongside electrical panel work.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions when performing mechanical assembly tasks.
Education / Experience
- 2-4 years of electrical circuits and design experience.
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Control panel building experience required.
- Experience in mechanical assembly.
- Highly developed electrical and mechanical skills.
 Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a plant/shop floor environment and is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
