Overview

Job Summary

Maintain electrical power for lighting and equipment, detect malfunctions, and perform electrical repair and installation.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

·    Repair electrical systems and equipment and handle preventive maintenance.

·    Requisition material and supplies.

·    Install switches, receptacles and lights.

·    Complete work orders, PM’s and other records in an accurate and timely manner.

·    Perform tests on power circuits, distribution panels.

·    Maintain the tube system.

·    Perform any emergency service required for the safety of personnel, building and equipment.

·    Perform generator maintenance and testing.

·    Assist in electrical related tasks involving building component installation, maintenance, demolition, renovation and repair.

·    Monitor facilities for needed repairs, maintenance, safety concerns and hazardous materials.

·    Respond to fire and other emergencies.

Qualifications

Education Required

·    High School Diploma or GED required. Two years of trade school, college, or equulavent preferred.

License, Certification and/or Registration

·    Journeyman licensing or certification preferred.

·    Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.

Experience

·    Preferred six years experience or comparable combination of education and experience.
